      This is a children’s book written for children and adults alike who are familiar with our most beautiful and unique Muscovy Ducks that inhabit SW Florida and other tropical climates of the world.

      A story about a family of Ducks who live by a lake that they call “Little Lake” where they have many adventures with their friends and other animals in and around Little Lake.

Knobby and Maddie Duck Main Characters 

Limpy    Had his leg bitten off by the Mean Old

                              Alligator. 

Redneck    His neck is red from getting pecked. 

Little Missy    A little duck left behind because she

                              didn’t know how to fly. 

Baby     A fearless little duck who befriends a

                              Gentle alligator that everyone thinks is

                              “The Mean Old Alligator”, but is not. 

      One such adventure Knobby and Maddie fly far across the land to the ocean shore that they call “The Never Ending Sea” because no one has ever flown across to the end and came back to tell the tale.  There they meet Poppy Duck and his family.  They soon discover that a big hurricane is coming.  Poppy Duck leads them all to safety where they spend the night under a huge palm tree where they are safe until the Hurricane passes.   

      There are many other fun adventures in and around Little Lake.  There are a total of nine chapters written to date with two more chapters ready for the printer.
