Big M Transportation employees once again participated in the St. Jude Marathon Weekend on December 4th, 2021. Members of the Big M Run/Walk Team along with family and friends have participated in this event since 2017. Big M is proud of each individual who participates in the fundraising effort each year that has made it possible for Big M to donate a cumulative of over $80,000 to the children of St. Jude! Big M’s strong commitment to supporting and giving back to our local community is just one of the many great things that sets Big M Transportation apart.
Benton Elliott, Vice President of Safety and Recruiting for Big M, states “Being a part of such a great accomplishment that illustrates the giving spirit of our employees, vendors, suppliers, families and friends is such a tremendous blessing that makes everyone involved feel great about being a part of such a great company that takes pride in giving back. We will strive to continue to grow our fundraising by more and more each year in our support of St. Jude and all other charities that Big M supports! We have raised our fundraising goals every year and have surpassed those goals each time. 2021 was no different – the goal was surpassed by raising $25,238.00 for St. Jude!”
St. Jude has made tremendous strides in treatments for childhood cancer that have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. St. Jude families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
